Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty in English, teaching First Year Writing. Courses may be scheduled day, evening, weekend, online, or off-campus as needed.

Affiliate faculty teach 1–9 credit hours per semester and work with diverse, urban student populations. Eligible applicants hold a Master’s in rhetoric and composition, writing studies, or English and have at least one year of college-level composition teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in rhetoric and composition, writing studies, or English.
• Minimum one year of college-level composition teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach First Year Writing (1–9 credit hours per semester).
• Deliver content face-to-face, online, or hybrid as needed.
• Support diverse urban student population through inclusive teaching.
• Prepare materials, grade work, and provide timely feedback.
