Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a First Year Semester Lecturer to support incoming students enrolled in First Year Seminar courses on the Columbus campus. This temporary fixed-term appointment focuses on guiding new students through their initial academic experiences.

Location: Denney Hall (0030). Schedule: 1 hour per shift; First Shift. The role includes collaboration with Student Affairs Advising to provide onboarding and academic guidance to new Buckeyes.

Qualifications

  • Background check is required for final candidates.
  • Drug screen or health screenings may be required during the post-offer process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with incoming students participating in First Year Seminar courses.
  • Assist with onboarding and advising during the transition to the university.
  • Collaborate with the Arts and Sciences and Student Affairs Advising teams to support first-year students.
