Job summary

The City University of New York’s Lehman College is seeking an Enrollment Specialist for the Freshman Year Initiative. The role supports the FYI learning communities, guides faculty with resources, and coordinates onboarding/testing for first-year students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and four years in a college setting with diverse first-year students.
• Experience with first-year initiatives and learning communities; data on outcomes preferred.
• Experience building partnerships across divisions; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and on time-sensitive projects.
• Experience using student systems such as CUNYFIRST, Navigate, Brightspace/D2L and assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of FYI coursework and programming for first-year students.
• Assist faculty with instructional materials and access to resources for teaching.
• Coordinate hiring observations and ensure compliance with CUNY guidelines.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Management to promote onboarding and testing requirements.
• Lead meetings of the First Year Advisory Committee and coordinate campus interventions.
• Develop marketing and communication plans for FYI activities using varied media.
• Represent the program at campus events and provide student inquiries support.
