Job summary

College of Charleston seeks an Associate Director for First Year Experience and Students in Transition to provide administrative, programmatic, and logistic support for the FYE program. The role collaborates with campus partners to drive student success in the first year, including enrollment management, reporting, and outreach.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years progressively responsible experience in higher education.
• Master’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong computer proficiency and data reporting skills.
• Knowledge of FERPA privacy regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage enrollment in FYE and FYSS courses and monitor enrollment numbers.
• Produce registration and enrollment reports for forecasting.
• Maintain FYE website and digital marketing materials for students and parents.
• Coordinate communications with advisors, chairs, faculty and students.
• Support events such as Orientation, Open Houses and special campus programs.
• Track first-year student completion and intervene as needed.
