Job summary

Western Piedmont Community College in North Carolina seeks a First-Year Experience Coordinator to lead the FYE program and the Academic Success curriculum, teach ACA courses, and develop faculty and student engagement initiatives. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty leadership role funded through Title III.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Minimum faculty credential requirements established by NCCCS and WPCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the College's First-Year Experience program.
• Teach assigned Academic Success (ACA) courses using student-centered practices.
• Coordinate scheduling of Academic Success courses and recruit/train ACA faculty.
• Develop and coordinate co-curricular programming supporting ACA curriculum.
• Assess student learning outcomes and program effectiveness; ensure alignment with Title III objectives.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and partners to promote student persistence and transfer.
