Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Platteville invites applications for open Lecturer positions in College Writing within the English program in the Humanities department. These roles primarily support in-person instruction of first-year College Writing courses on the UW–Platteville campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or closely related field.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the college level is preferred.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate education and collaboration with students and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Teach first-year College Writing courses.
• Facilitate classroom instruction for one or more undergraduate courses on the Platteville, Wisconsin campus.
• Evaluate and assess student performance.
• Maintain regular office hours and support student success.
• Participate in discussions on curriculum improvement and student learning assessment, as needed.
• Contribute to a collaborative departmental teaching environment.
• Evaluate and assess student performance.
