Job summary

IQ Resource Group is seeking an experienced 1st shift machine operator to set up, operate, and maintain wire straightening and ring rolling machines in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes safety and quality while following work instructions.Hours are 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Wage starts at $21.00 per hour and up, based on experience and competitive evaluation.Candidates should have mechanical skills and be able to read order documents and inspect parts.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and measurements.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.
• Manufacturing or machine setup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wire straightening and ring rolling machines
• Adjust machine settings based on work orders and product requirements
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report problems to supervision or maintenance
• Clean, lubricate, and inspect machines to ensure proper operation
• Load raw materials into machines and remove finished parts
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measure
• Record production data, inventory counts, and quality information
• Operate ride-on forklifts to move materials and finished product
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned
