Job summary

Reading Truck Group in Reading, PA is seeking a Welder for 1st shift to join a manufacturing team building standard and special service bodies and small parts. You will weld structural components and work on multiple stations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to pass tape measure testing.
• Ability to read blue prints (if applicable to the line).

Responsibilities

• Weld structural aluminum and galvanized steel components per blueprints/work orders; in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components to achieve required configuration.
• Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Complete inline quality inspections and maintain weld quality per guidelines.
• Cross-train on multiple welding stations and fill staffing gaps.
• Recognize, set up, and operate welding equipment and power tools.
