Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Bastrop, TX, is seeking a forklift operator to join our distribution team. The role requires operating forklift and overhead crane, loading/unloading, and helping with inventory in a fast-paced environment.

Base pay is $17.75 per hour; shift 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Must be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and obtain forklift and overhead crane certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Perform material and product loading and unloading activities to support the branch location. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools.
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. Assist co-workers and customers
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment
