Piedmont Metals is seeking a Structural Welder for 1st shift in Burlington, NC. The role requires reading blueprints, performing FCAW dual shield welds, and finishing welds in a heavy steel environment. Must pass on-site AWS D1.1 test and lift up to 50 lbs. Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2+ years structural welding experience.
• Must read and interpret shop drawings and welding symbols.
• Proficient in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) dual shield.
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50+ lbs.
• Must pass on-site AWS D1.1 weld test.

Responsabilités

• Perform FCAW (Dual Shield) welds to AWS D1.1 standards.
• Read shop drawings/blueprints to ensure welds meet specifications.
• Use grinders and power tools to prep and finish welds.
• Maintain weld quality to meet structural and safety requirements.
• Inspect own welds for defects prior to QC review.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining quality.
• On-site D1.1 test must be passed.
