Job summary

MACtac is seeking a Machine Operator for the first shift on a 7:00am–3:00pm schedule. Starting pay is $20.00–$21.00 per hour. The role involves operating a slitter, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring product quality to meet customer specifications.

You will follow safety rules, document data accurately, and collaborate with the production team to optimize productivity and reduce waste. Strong attention to detail and the ability to stand for long periods are important for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic computer systems (hardware and software).

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the slitter machine produces quality products.
• Ensure proper materials and machine settings are used.
• Follow customer instructions and meet their needs.
• Complete paperwork and data entry accurately.
• Follow environmental, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Monitor deviations and report to supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Communicate machine center support needs.
• Assist in preparation and packaging as required.
• Label each roll with the correct pre-designated number.
