Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in Denton, TX is seeking a full-time Shipping Clerk to receive, process, and ship goods. You will operate pallet jacks and order pickers, verify invoices, run shipping reports, prepare BOLs, and use WMS and AS400 to update inventory.

You must have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and good communication to collaborate with the team and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to write reports in English.
• Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures.
• Operate pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or documents.
• Run daily shipping Open Order Report and determine shipments.
• Complete shipping papers (BOLs, ASNs) for loading.
• Ensure bill of lading is properly completed for driver acceptance.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments with proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Use WMS and AS400 to track inventory and update records.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive orders and collaborate with team to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job description:

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
• Run daily shipping Open Order Report and determine shipments to be made
• Correctly complete all shipping papers (BOL's, generate ASN's) to authorize loading of trucks
• Compare loading logs and comparison logs to ensure accurate count of product
• Ensure bill of lading is properly completed for driver acceptance and signature
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers to load and unload goods
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory and update records
• Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently
• Receive orders
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability yo write reports in the English language
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
