Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate single-head sewing machines to sew a variety of items as part of the production process.
• Adjust tensions, threads, and bobbins according to fabric type.
• Center material to prepare for processing on sewing machines.
• Monitor sewing operations to detect defects and notify supervisor of malfunction.
• Maintain speed and quality to meet department production goals.
• Follow written or verbal directions and accurately count materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
