Fresh Mark in Salem, Ohio is seeking a 1st shift Quality Technician to perform QA testing across receiving, manufacturing, and processing to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and regulatory requirements.

The role offers a $19.00/hour rate with benefits. A two-year degree or certificate in food science is preferred, with one or more years of QA experience in a food processing facility. Training on GMP/HACCP and safety is provided.

Qualifikationen

• Two-year degree or certificate in food science or related subject preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years previous QA or related experience in the food processing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA GMPs and understanding of HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with modern food manufacturing processes and food safety systems.

Aufgaben

• Performs physical, analytical and microbial testing as well as sensory evaluation per QA manual and procedures.
• Process checks throughout production, packaging, sanitation and warehousing functions.
• Coordinate with sanitation for environmental testing program execution.
• Communicate test results and observations to QA management, Production, and Sanitation.
• Assist line technicians as required; support Sample Retain Program.
• Prepare production line QA stations and calibrate equipment as needed.
• Generate departmental reports and QA audit reports.
• Provide independent oversight of processes and communicate deviations from standards.
• Assist in training employees on food safety and FDA GMPs.
• Maintain records of QA activities and USDA pre-shipment records.
• Understand company and customer specifications and ensure proper documentation.
• Attend all required trainings.
