Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Lab Associate to support microbiology operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting in Round Lake, IL. You will conduct microbial testing on materials and products, perform environmental monitoring, and support lab data integrity under cGMP and FDA QSR guidelines.

The role involves handling lab instruments, preparing media, and maintaining documentation, with a first-shift schedule that includes weekends/holidays and onsite work in Drug Delivery and Penicillin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or biological science.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Willingness to work first shift with weekends/holidays.
• Familiarity with cGMP/GLP and FDA QSR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples.
• Perform routine environmental monitoring of surfaces, air, and water systems.
• Prepare media and reagents for routine microbial testing and lab operations.
• Operate lab instrumentation and LIMS to collect and manage data.
• Monitor and stock laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and follow safety SOPs.
• Investigate nonconformances with data review and corrective actions.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with cGMP and FDA QSR standards.
• Follow procedures related to cGMPs and safety requirements.
• Support other lab tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.
