Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a Punch Press Operator C for the 1st shift at our New Hope, MN location. The role demands handling multiple machines, setting up punches, and ensuring parts meet specs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–5 years of manufacturing experience. You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment, performing basic machine maintenance and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple machines including automatic machines.
• Knowledge of bend allowances.
• Complex setups with little supervision.
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
• Knowledge of using the proper punch and die clearances according to material type and thickness.
• Cleans lubricates, and has the ability to do maintenance on machines.
• Ability to manage secondary operations.
• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
• Positions workpiece against fixtures or stop on machine bed or on die.
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Ability to operate a single stage Punch Press.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the punch press on 1st shift and ensure proper die alignment.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications and adjust as needed.
• Perform light maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
• Follow safety and quality procedures during production.
