Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 2nd shift Punch Press Set-Up Operator A for our New Hope, MN location. The role involves complex punch press setups, multi-machine management, and adherence to bend allowances.

Inspect parts, adjust tooling, perform routine machine maintenance, and support secondary operations while collaborating with a skilled team. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of varied manufacturing experience preferred
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
• Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment while driving toward clarity and solutions

Responsibilities

• Complex setups with little or no defects
• Ability to manage multiple machines including automatic machines
• Knowledge of bend allowances
• Complex setups with little supervision
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors
• Knowledge of using the proper punch and die clearances according to material type and thickness
• Cleans lubricates, and has the ability to do maintenance on machines
• Ability to manage secondary operations
• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications
• Positions workpiece against fixtures or stop on machine bed or on die
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
• Ability to operate a single stage Punch Press
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
