Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical & Light Assembly Engineering Technician to support a manufacturing and engineering team in Rochester, NY. This individual will work closely with engineers and production personnel to build, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support mechanical products and prototype assemblies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in mechanical assembly or related technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies and tight tolerances.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment.
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting engineering development or prototype builds.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and CAD documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and support mechanical products and prototype assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to support development and production efforts.
• Interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions to ensure correct fabrication and assembly.
• Support product testing and validation activities in a fast-paced environment.
