Job summary

Arcosa is seeking a 1st Shift Production Operations Supervisor for the Clinton, IL facility. You will oversee daily production, ensure safety and quality, manage schedules, and coach teams in welding and fit-up processes to meet budget and production goals.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree and 5+ years of heavy industrial leadership, with strong knowledge of blueprints and a willingness to work 6:00am–4:30pm. This role offers competitive compensation aligned with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline) preferred.
• 5+ years of successful leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and metal core welding is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts preferably related to transmission poles.
• Regular and predictable attendance, a great attitude and an ability to work well with a team toward achieving a common goal.
• Availability to work 1st Shift - 6:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees, and complete regular safety audits
• Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work group
• Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics
• Coach employees on work quality and quantity such as fit-up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and solving issues as they arise and are identified
• Ensure the production of sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production cost
• Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve the movement of materials through various production processes
• Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve time sheets and work logs
• Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training is completed
• Manage all aspects of fit up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring that production policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
