Job summary

Snelling Charlotte is seeking reliable machine operators for a South Charlotte client in the mufflers sector. The role involves operating various machines in the Detail department, reading cutting lists, and ensuring accuracy of material specs. OT and benefits are available once hired.

Weekly pay is provided during the temp phase. Shifts are 1st shift with long days Mon-Thu and Fri/Sat 6–7 AM starts; candidates must pass a fractions/decimals math test and be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Qualifications

• Must pass a math test with fractions and decimals.
• Able to read and interpret cutting lists and shop drawings.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs frequently.
• Willingness to work extended shifts and meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in the Detail department (press brake/grinder).
• Read and inspect cutting lists, shop orders, and drawings.
• Verify quantity, size, thickness, length, and material grade; report discrepancies.
