Job summary

Ascentek is hiring a Production Machine Operator on First Shift in Shreveport, LA to perform bottle-filling assemblies and related line duties in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, about 1 year of production and forklift experience, and basic reading of work instructions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related production line experience and forklift operator experience.
• Must have a good command of the English language and the ability to read, communicate, and understand written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of Lean Principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform processes to complete bottle-filling assemblies and sub-assembly machines.
• Follow written instructions on the Production Work Ticket (PWT) for the production of various products.
• Gather raw materials needed for producing products, help set up production line, and produce samples for quality inspection.
• Upon inspection approval, produce product, label, pack, and load grouped orders onto pallets.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Document performance of production line using SFC and QC worksheets.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
