Job summary

Alleguard, Inc. is hiring for a 1stShift Press Operator to inspect, sort, and pack molded parts while ensuring conformance to quality standards. The role emphasizes attention to visual inspection, safe handling, and adherence to packaging specifications at Alleguard's manufacturing site.

The position requires standing 4-8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm, with benefits and a focus on team safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Observation: visually inspect parts during production and determine if they meet quality standards.
• Reading Comprehension: understand written instructions in work documents.
• Active Listening: give full attention, understand points, ask questions as needed.
• Operation Monitoring: watch gauges, dials, indicators to ensure equipment works.
• Learning Strategies: select and apply training methods appropriate for the situation.
• Pallet Jack: use manual pallet jack or designated equipment to move parts.
• Speaking: convey information effectively to others.
• PPE: PPE required in manufacturing, including eyewear, hearing protection, safety shoes.
• Physical Exertion: work in varying temperatures and humidity; exertion may be required.
• Standing 4-8 hours: continuous standing.
• Mobility: bending and stretching movements.
• Lifting 50 lbs: safely lift minimum 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor press to ensure mold ejects parts completely and report issues.
• Pack acceptable parts into predefined packaging or pallets per quality standards.
• Discard non-conforming products, materials, and equipment.
• Label completed containers with item information per standards.
• Visually inspect and ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and dispose of rejected parts.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Move parts in/out of drying tunnel as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
