Job summary

Jabil, a global leader in engineering and manufacturing solutions, seeks an experienced machinist to produce and repair high-precision tools, dies, jigs, and molds. The role requires reading blueprints, planning efficient processes, and ensuring quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

First shift is typically 6am–2pm, Mon–Fri, with possible flexibility. The candidate will guide junior staff as needed and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across toolmaking operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certifications preferred.
• Experience with Haas, Hurco and wire EDM machines.
• Experience with jig and fixture modifications and new builds; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Constructs and repairs machine shop tools, gauges, fixtures, jigs or dies for use within the establishment.
• Performs assignments that require close tolerances and precise measurements.
• Plans construction procedures and methods, selecting proper materials.
• Lays out, fabricates and assembles metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures from blueprints and sketches, using precision tools.
