Job summary

Samtec, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is hiring a Manufacturing Production Operator to support the production and testing of optical products. The role involves preparing optical engines for testing, transferring components, and separating nonconforming items in a clean manufacturing environment.

This first-shift position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with starting pay of $20.25 per hour plus a $0.50 per hour quality bonus and eligibility for the Tiger Cash bonus program

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to work with small components and precision equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Use tweezers and precision tools to handle optical engines.
• Perform measurements, alignment, and testing of optical cable assemblies and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, process instructions, and production orders.
• Operate production equipment and tooling.
• Inspect miniature components with a microscope.
• Maintain workflow and productivity in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Uphold quality standards in all production processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Suggest opportunities for process, tooling, and efficiency improvements.
• Meet productivity while maintaining accuracy.
