Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is hiring a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector. The first shift is part‑time (20‑25 hours/week, 2‑3 days). You will perform precision inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies, verifying conformance to drawings using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs as needed.

Strong interpretation of drawings, GD&T, and experience with inspection docs are required. An associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred; on-site work at supplier sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions with hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies for workmanship and conformance.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot samples.
• Use micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, and CMMs as needed.
• Verify documentation packages to industry standards and classify defect types.
