AWF (American Wood Fibers) in Pella, IA is seeking a First Shift Packaging Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on safe, efficient hands-on production and the packaging of wood shavings, with daily duties on equipment, quality checks, and clean-up.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to perform outdoor duties and operate forklifts if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs and performs physical tasks.
• Ability to bend, squat, or stoop as needed.
• Experience with mobile equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently to produce items for customers.
• Follow shift supervisor instructions and complete assigned duties.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with palletizing and packaging tasks.
• Perform outdoor duties such as sweeping, debris removal, and deicing if required.
• Adhere to quality assurance measures and report issues promptly.
