Siemens in Wendell, NC is hiring a Mechanical Assembler Level I for the GIS Production Team on the 1st Shift. The role involves building and assembling Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as switchgears, switchboards, and breakers.

Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:30PM. Hourly Rate: $19.00. You will learn torque values, use standard hand and power tools, and read BOMs and assembly drawings to ensure quality and safety in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub‑assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
• Prior experience with mechanical assembly or technical hands on work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, and collaborate with team to improve processes.
