Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Associate to safely operate forklifts and help move pallets, paperwork and boxes along the production line to meet daily schedules.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to read safety labels. SAP/MES experience is preferred; must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to run forklifts and other transport equipment.
• Ability to read safety labels on chemical containers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tow motor in close quarters.
• Setup paperwork/boxes/pallets into production.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with line personnel.
• Understand and follow a production schedule.
• Create pallet tag; scan it.
• Compliance with all safety standards and regulations per company policy.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All GLC employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
