Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Material Handler to support transformer winding operations by safely handling, staging, transporting, and organizing materials. The role ensures timely delivery to winding workstations, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports a clean, safe production environment.

The 1st shift runs Monday-Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM. The successful candidate will operate material handling equipment, maintain stock levels, and collaborate with winding operators to meet production

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in material handling equipment preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials to winding stations using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Ensure winding machines are stocked with supplies to avoid delays.
• Label, store, and organize materials per procedures and safety standards.
• Support kitting by preparing material packages for transformer jobs.
• Assist with receiving, counting, inspecting, and storing materials.
• Track material movements in ERP/inventory systems and maintain records.
• Communicate material needs or discrepancies to operators and planners.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
