Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read schematics, operate forklifts, and work a 1st shift with overtime opportunities; a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support emergency repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Assist with mold changes and facility maintenance projects.
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and machining tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
