Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Maintenance Tech for the 1st shift. The role will troubleshoot and repair production line equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have an electrical background, strong mechanical skills, and ability to read blueprints. This position offers 28–40 USD per hour with a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Industrial/commercial electrical background with high-speed production line experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Willingness to work unscheduled hours during emergencies.
• 3-5 years of experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production line equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state equipment using a variety of tools.
• Provide maintenance to ensure equipment is in good repair and safe to operate.
• Install electrical/electronic equipment and wiring per NEC and company standards.
• Maintain electrical/electronic systems for facilities and production equipment.
• Perform high voltage switching and operate generators as needed.
• Identify electrical hazards and safely prepare circuits for repair.
• Troubleshoot motor control centers, switchgear, relays and PLCs.
• Read/interpret drawings to install and calibrate equipment.
• Install conduits, wiring, control panels and drives.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment and meters.
• Support scheduled maintenance programs and maintain records.
