Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Cabool, MO retort plant. The role leads a team of maintenance technicians, ensures safety and quality, and collaborates with production to maximize efficiency in a 24/7 dairy processing environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong electrical, pneumatic, and motor control knowledge, experience with packaging equipment and Allen-Bradley controls, and familiarity with HTST/UHT processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–5 years in industrial manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, motor controls
• Experience with processing/packaging equipment and control systems
• Experience with HTST/UHT processing is a plus
• Leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships
• Experience with CMMS to manage PMs

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians to meet safety, quality, and cost goals
• Schedule work, prioritize tasks, and optimize staffing for 24/7 operations
• Train, coach, and develop team members to build strong technical capabilities
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive root cause solutions
• Partner with production to improve communication and efficiency
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and equipment improvements
• Follow GMP and all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
