Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of machining experience.
• Experience operating multi-spindle screw machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records.
• Proactive approach and flexibility in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle machines to manufacture parts to specification.
• Inspect coolant, oil level and air pressure before operating the machine.
• Use shop packages (BOMs, routings, prints, job layouts, quality alerts).
• Ensure gauges and tools are within calibration dates.
• Operate multiple machines as required by routing.
• Produce parts and notify supervisor if non-conforming.
• Perform quality checks and document results.
• Request raw materials as needed and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow safe practices and report unsafe conditions; replace worn tools.
