Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and run heavy machinery for cutting, forming and finishing parts in a manufacturing environment. You will interpret blueprints, measure parts, and ensure product quality while following safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift and overhead crane certification, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Overtime and a 6:00 am–2:30 pm shift are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Certification to operate forklift and overhead crane required or attainable.
• Experience with handheld metalworking tools is a plus.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Good computer and communication skills are a plus.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery for cutting, punching, forming, and packaging parts.
• Follow safety rules, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and technical data to select materials.
• Operate computerized controls and use measurement devices for quality checks.
• Maintain routine preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and may take on other team tasks.
