Job summary

IDEAL Industries, Inc. in Sycamore, IL is seeking a reliable machine operator for first shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm).

You will perform routine production tasks, set up and operate various manufacturing machines, monitor quality, and follow all safety procedures to ensure timely, high-quality output. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of machine operator experience, with lean manufacturing familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 12 months of manufacturing machine operator experience is required; 24 months preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred (SMED).

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Perform routine production tasks under supervision, including forming, assembling and packaging; set-up and operate work stations.
• Monitor quality and productivity; refer to blueprints and specs; maintain charts.
• Set-up, changeover, and operate manufacturing machines within a work cell.
• Conduct daily and operator preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow quality procedures.
