Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Machine Operator for 1st shift in Kokomo, IN. The role involves operating machines to cut, bend, swage, or punch according to customer specs and labeling packages by bundle or box. Shift is 7:00am to 3:30pm with a $17.00/hr base pay plus a 7% quarterly incentive.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and ideally one year of manufacturing experience. The team emphasizes safety, quality checks, and continuous improvement within a collaborative work

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean concept sustainment & problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to safety rules and life-saving practices.
• Operate machines and process manufacturing orders per customer specs.
• Perform bending, cutting, swaging, punching; set up skids, racks and bundles.
• Ensure quality by checking OD, gauge, length, and packaging requirements.
• Support 5S, lean sustainment and problem solving in daily tasks.
