Dynomax Inc in Wheeling, IL is seeking an Injection Mold Set-Up Technician to join our 1st shift team. The role involves reading specs, setting up molds and presses, and ensuring correct tool readiness before startup.

You will work with automation systems, adjust controls for pressures and curing times, inspect parts with gauges, and assist with auxiliary equipment maintenance. We offer benefits and a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of automation systems and equipment
• Injection molding set-up experience

Responsabilités

• Read specifications sheet to determine machine set-up and settings, verify correct set-up of molds, presses, and auxiliary equipment before startup
• Position, align, and secure assembled mold or mold components and machine accessories onto machine using hoist and hand tools
• Set machine controls to regulate specified pressure, curing time, and other parameters per set-up sheet and adjust flow of plastic and coolant
• Measure and visually inspect product for surface and dimensional defects using gauges
• Set-up and adjust injection/transfer machines to mold plastic materials per drawings and tool functions
• Obtain mold approval for first article molds
• Assist with set-up and maintenance of auxiliary equipment such as granulators, conveyors, temperature controls, and mold electrical controls
