Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support aluminum die casting operations. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation on the 1st shift in Wood Dale, IL.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Overtime may be available and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing environment experience required.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs; hot manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on aluminum die casting machines and furnaces.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Inspect furnaces, ladles, cooling systems, and temperature controls.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, robotics, and automated equipment.
• Weld, fabricate, and perform machine repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment and electrical components.
• Maintain plant utilities including air compressors and cooling towers.
• Document maintenance activities and preventive tasks.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
• Assist production with equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.
