Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support aluminum die casting operations in Wood Dale, IL on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) with overtime on Saturdays as needed. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC‑controlled equipment experience preferred, and ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC‑controlled equipment preferred.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on aluminum die casting machines, furnaces, trim presses, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Inspect and maintain furnaces, ladles, cooling systems, and die temperature control units.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, robotics, and automated production equipment.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and machine repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment and electrical components.
• Maintain plant utility systems including air compressors, cooling towers, and water systems.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Support production teams with equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.
