Job summary

JB Poindexter Company is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Decatur, AL. You will work on electrical and mechanical systems, install and service equipment, and read blueprints for industrial manufacturing processes.

The role requires a HS diploma and a 2-year technical degree (or related experience), PLC experience, NFPA 70E familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. 1st shift hours apply with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase and 24V DC systems up to 480V AC.
• Experience with PLC controls and automation is required.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA and arc flash requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain equipment on the production line.
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
• Wire machines and read schematics.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide logical solutions.
• Read blueprints and install/repair electrical systems.
• Maintain safety and diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect parts for safe production.
