Job summary

Compana Pet Brands is seeking an Industrial Equipment Technician in Omaha, NE for 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 am–4:00 pm, Fri as needed). In this role you’ll sustain and improve plant operations, operate the CMMS, assist with fabrication and installation of equipment, and ensure safe, reliable performance across production lines.

The position requires 3–5 years of maintenance in manufacturing, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and PLC/HMI/VFD experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade accreditation preferred.
3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
Experience with automated packaging systems that use PLCs, HMI and Variable Frequency Drives preferred.
Able to operate and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Help sustain/improve plant operating performance; identify root causes of downtime.
Operate and maintain the CMMS effectively.
Assist with fabrication, modification and installation of production equipment.
Maintain equipment and vehicles in safe working order.
Record issues, parts used, and labor hours for tasks.
Assist production supervisors with educating employees on equipment operation and safety.
