Job summary

Aerotek in Edison, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate a sit-down forklift for 80–90% of the shift, move and store materials, and perform order picking, pallet wrapping, and inventory tasks. This contract-to-hire role offers potential for permanent employment and access to company benefits.

The position requires safety‑first performance in a non‑temperature‑controlled, first‑shift environment (7:30 AM–4:30 PM), with teamwork and reliable attendance as core expectations.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Experience with material handling in warehouse environments.
• Experience supporting shipping/receiving and basic warehouse operations.
• Experience in inventory management and cycle counts.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate picking and tracking.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to complete and maintain basic warehouse documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift for the majority of the shift to move, store, and retrieve materials.
• Load and unload products from trucks and staging areas following safety procedures.
• Support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations.
• Perform order picking, pallet wrapping, and staging for shipment.
• Assist with inventory movement and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report forklift issues.
