Job summary

Port Jersey Logistics Network is seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator in Edison, NJ. You will operate powered industrial trucks to load/unload, move goods, and stage items for shipment.

The role requires at least 2 years of forklift experience (reach-truck, stand-up, and pallet jack), familiarity with RF scanners, and a high school diploma. Safety and accuracy are essential, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
• Must have at least 2 years of Electric forklift, Reach-Truck, Stand up and electric pallet jack experience.
• Must be able to use Radio Frequency (RF) scanner gun.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks, containers, trailers or vans.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets.
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Dumping materials into machine hopper.
