Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Feed Quality and Operational Excellence Technician for the 1st shift in Livermore, Kentucky. The role focuses on monitoring quality metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across feed mill operations.

You will collaborate with nutritionists, veterinarians, and lab partners to deliver safe, high-quality feed while optimizing efficiency, with a schedule of 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, plus business needs on weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate feed manufacturing quality parameters, including particle size, pellet durability (PDI), fines, moisture levels, and ingredient quality.
• Identify and implement improvements to ensure products meet or exceed feed quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, FSMA, and company policies such as cGMPs and PVP programs.
• Develop proficiency in all feed mill operations, including receiving, batching, pelleting, and loadout processes.
• Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S/6S methodologies and operational efficiency efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to communicate quality expectations, resolve issues, and drive consistent results.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and audit readiness for quality and compliance programs.
• Participate in daily operations as needed to support safe and efficient production.
