Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Dust Control Technician to help keep our feed manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. This role supports all mill areas, including operations, receiving, dispatch, and feed scheduling, while upholding food safety practices and a team-focused culture.

Summary

Play a key role in keeping our feed manufacturing operations running strong as a Feed Mill Dust Control Technician. This position supports all areas of the feed mill, contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality feed production through hands-on operational and facility support. You’ll gain exposure to multiple aspects of feed manufacturing, including operations, receiving, dispatch, feed scheduling, and food safety practices, while working as part of a team committed to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm, (weekends as needed)

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to unload deliveries.
• Shovel grain into bins.
• Pressure wash areas of the mill.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. reasonable distances.
• Fulfill other general housekeeping duties and assist other departments when called upon.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Reading, writing and math skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Exposed to existing weather conditions while outside and controlled room/machine conditions while inside work is performed.
• Exposed to air born dust, chemicals such as Formaldehyde, Peroxide, caustic cleaners/disinfectants and industrial lubricants.
• Must have the ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment, tools which could weigh as much as 100 lbs.
• Must wear required safety equipment including necessary PPE, respirators, etc. as required.#LI-CR1
