Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a 1st Shift Feed Mill Associate to unload incoming trucks, inspect materials, collect samples, and maintain storage areas at the Albertville, AL facility. You will support batching, sanitation, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced feed production environment.

The role requires adherence to FSMA, FDA and QC procedures, and the ability to work extended shifts, including nights and weekends, with PPE usage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (e.g. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
• Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
• Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming ingredient trucks into correct bins and maintain organization.
• Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Conduct quality checks on ingredients and ensure compliance with specs.
• Prepare and complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Rotate stock and coordinate batch schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Operate forklift when required and follow safety policies.
