Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC seeks a Facility/Utility Maintenance Technician for first shift to perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment and assist in daily plant upkeep. The role requires adherence to safety rules, ability to follow detailed instructions, and strong teamwork.

Maintain and repair various machines, assist maintenance staff, and ensure equipment runs smoothly. Eligible candidates will have a HS diploma or GED and prior maintenance experience; company benefits

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed oral or written instructions.
• Must be a self-starter, punctual and reliable, and a team player.
• Experience and proficiency with utility / facility / machine maintenance and/or repair
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial machines to keep them running properly.
• Inspect equipment, find problems, and make basic repairs as needed.
• Perform general cleaning, painting, and repairs throughout the facility.
• Use hand tools and power tools for minor maintenance repairs.
• Provide assistance to maintenance staff and other employees when necessary.
• Repair and maintain clips for the Continuous Line.
• Repair and maintain barrels for the Barrel Line.
• Perform preventative maintenance on various types of machines.
• Must follow all company safety rules and regulations.
• Other tasks may be required as needed.
