Job summary

University of Northern Iowa is seeking a Custodian I for Housing and Dining Facilities. You will perform daily cleaning of lounges, bathrooms, laundry rooms, guest rooms, and offices under direct supervision. Duties include dusting, wet mopping stairs and corridors, and noting maintenance needs.

Position is regular, calendar year schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Starting hourly rate is $17.51 with potential for minor maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans student lounges, bathrooms, laundry rooms, guest rooms, and staff offices daily.
• Dusts and wet mops stairways and corridors.
• Inspects assigned areas for damage or maintenance needs.
