Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Fabrication/Warehouse Associate for the first shift in our Houston area facility. The role involves hands-on fabrication of hollow metal frames, welding, and safe operation of power tools, with emphasis on quality, safety, and basic computer use.

You will read drawings, perform quality checks, and manage materials through loading/unloading and inventory entries. A 1–3 year background in fabrication and ability to lift 35–50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in fabrication or light‑gauge sheet metal environment.
• Proficient with power tools: grinders, drills, sanders, saws.
• Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble hollow metal frames and sheet metal components per specs.
• Weld light‑gauge materials (14 ga – 18 ga) and perform related metalwork tasks.
• Operate power tools safely and read drawings, cut lists, and instructions.
• Handle materials: unload/load shipments, stage materials, move products, keep areas organized.
• Enter production/inventory data in computer systems and maintain documentation.
