Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek, WI seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead first-shift Circuit Card Assembly operations. Direct daily activities of operators and technicians, ensure quality, safety and schedule adherence, and maintain WIP while performing manufacturing tasks as needed.

You will collaborate with multiple teams, manage staffing, and drive continuous improvement in CCA processes, reporting to the Senior Manager, Electronic Assembly and Support.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. person per U.S. export regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of experience in electronic or electromechanical manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of electronic manufacturing and CCA processes (SMT, inspection, testing, finishing).
• Ability to prioritize production activities, allocate labor, manage WIP, and respond to changing requirements.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions, specs, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and provide day-to-day direction to operators and technicians in CCA and related electronic assembly operations.
• Prioritize and assign work, manage material flow, and maintain WIP to meet schedules.
• Monitor production performance, schedule attainment, labor utilization, and cost-related metrics; adjust resources as needed.
• Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints; collaborate with Planning, Materials, Quality, Engineering to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, specs, quality requirements, ESD, safety, and 5S.
• Coordinate training and cross-training to build staffing flexibility across CCA processes.
• Identify and support continuous-improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve cycle time.
• Escalate significant issues when additional support is needed.
• Ensure production follows approved docs and quality requirements; focus on quality at the source.
